A world of opportunity!
The past month or so has been pretty epic, lots of things happening in my business. I’ve obtained my ‘official’ first customer ‘Chez Jules’, a gorgeous little restaurant in Chester whom was referred to me through ITC where I did my work placement for the NEA. I’m all officially registered as a ‘sole trader’ with a business bank account…I got pretty excited when I received a cheque book + debit card with my companies name on. It makes you realise this is all REAL! My website has also just launched, check it out on the link below:

Some exciting news! I’ve made it into the shortlist for the North East ‘If We Can You Can’ competition and I’m hoping I’ve done enough in my pitch to make the final (revealed on Thursday!)
Furthermore I’ve also been shortlisted for a Shell Livewire Grand Ideas award…which I must say is ABOUT TIME as I’ve entered 4 times!! So now I need as many votes from YOU guys as possible to win funding of £1000! At this point I have to say a MASSIVE thanks to my brother Dane who edited the video for the competition, great stuff! Please register and vote for me below:
With the NEA going fantastically and business picking up, I’m feeling pretty damn good! I received an email a couple of days ago about NEA entrepreneur of the year (something upon which I set my heart at the very start of the year!), I’ll be writing a letter over the coming weeks to convince senior management that I should be put through to pitch in front of Peter Jones and other senior figures of the academy. I want it bad – both Manchester & National!
Alongside all of this I’m still chairperson of Paragon my PPD group, raising money for charity. We’re currently organising an auction to be held on the 30th June at Manchester City FC (contact me for tickets!) It looks to be a spectacular event if all goes well…LOTS to do before then though!
On Sunday I completed the Manchester Run in 57minutes 40seconds raising over £200 for Leukaemia Research.
Such amazing times, yet I can’t wait to leave the NEA & Manchester to run my business full time over the summer in the North East. It’s going to be one hell of a ride!
BRING IT!
